company profile - -- custom products - privacy policy contact us for sales or technical assistance lawsnlab@lawsonlabs.com this page last reviewed/modified: 21 june 2018, 11am if one of our devices that was working no longer works make sure it's connected then check to see if the correct driver is installed. in win10, go to " settings " by clicking the windows icon at the lower left of the screen. in the panel that opens, click on " devices bluetooth, printers, mouse " and at the bottom of the next screen is a link to " device manager ." click that link and scroll down to " universal serial bus controllers " then right-click on " lawson labs inc " and choose the option to " uninstall ." in the box that appears " confirm device uninstall "   check the box: " delete the driver software for this device ." disconnect the device, wait a few seconds and reconnect it. you should see it reappear in the list of " universal serial bus controllers ." -- if you have a usb connection problem in win10, click the windows icon at the lower left of the screen. next, choose "settings". then "devices", and, at the bottom of the next screen follow the link to "device manager." scroll down to "universal serial bus controllers" and click on the greater than sign ( ) to expand the usb section. find "lawson labs inc". if there is a yellow triangle with an exclaimation point, that means you have a corrupted driver. (otherwise you can exit the device manager now.) right-click on "lawson labs inc" and choose the option to "uninstall." in the next screen, you must to check the checkbox labeled "delete the driver software for this device." then, complete the uninstall. physically unplug the usb cable to the device, wait a few seconds and replug it. you should see "lawson labs inc" reappear in the list of "universal serial bus controllers", but without the yellow triangle. finally, exit the device manager. -- as of 9-27-16, our new signed win10 driver version 8.15.2016 has been made available from the windows driver distribution center. the driver may load at anytime while one of our boards is connected, and will likely do so during any automatic "win10 update." the new driver requires a new dll which can be downloaded by clicking: this link the new dll is backward compatible, so there is no need to manually install the new driver prior to installing the new dll. be sure to put the new dll into your application folder ( overwrite any already there ). complete installation instructions for win10 here back to top
